Massage Therapy

room2

Massage therapy is the use of manual techniques applied to the soft tissues of the body to relax and rehabilitate you. It treats both acute and chronic conditions by maintaining and restoring physical function, relieving pain, and reducing stress.

Swedish Massage

Swedish massage includes deep tissue and relaxation massage. This technique is intended to shorten recovery time from muscular strain by flushing the tissues of lactic acid and other metabolic waste. Swedish massage also encourages circulation and nutrients back into the tissues to promote their health. Swedish massage reduces tension and stress—both physical and emotional—and is suggested in most programs for stress management.

Myofascial Release

Myofascial release is a form of sustained stretching that has a therapeutic effect on fascia. Fascia is the connective tissue that surrounds every tissue and organ of the body. Hardening and shortening of the fascia can cause inflexibility and pain symptoms. Treating fascial restrictions is an important part of massage therapy.

Sport Massage

By treating both acute and chronic injuries and optimizing the health of tissues, sport massage aids an athlete's preparation for or recovery from training and competition. It can help address muscle imbalances, release fascial restrictions, and improve flexibility. The goal is to improve the athlete's overall performance.

Craniosacral Therapy

Craniosacral therapy examines the cerebrospinal fluid which bathes the central nervous system and brain. The series of techniques gently examine the sacrum and each cranial bone/joint for excess movement, lack of movement, torque, torsion, etc. The idea is to gently follow or resist the pattern to break it, and restart the cerebrospinal fluid's cycle from a still point.

Pregnancy/Post-Partum Massage

We can relieve the symptoms of pregnancy, including low back pain, sciatica, carpal tunnel syndrome, and swollen legs. Post-pregnancy, we can treat various issues, such as upper back strains, sore breasts, and scar tissue.
