Elizabeth Seiffert, BScHEd, RMT


Elizabeth Seiffert is the owner of River Valley Therapeutic Treatment Clinic. As an athlete, she suffered a sport injury at an early age. After getting superior results from massage therapy, Elizabeth set her sights on becoming a registered massage therapist.

Elizabeth began her formal studies at Dalhousie University with a Bachelor of Science in Health Education. She draws on her extensive and varied background working in Atlantic Canada as Health Educator, Wellness Coordinator, and Consultant in Sport and Recreation for the province of New Brunswick, before pursuing studies at the Atlantic College of Therapeutic Massage.

She is a certified in Active Release Techniques, and has spent hundreds of hours attending various seminars in post-graduate work in order to keep up with the most current research and latest techniques to keep her clinical skills in top form. She has a solid foundation in orthopedic assessment and treatment of pathologies. Elizabeth has a passion for working with endurance athletes and has a particular interest in working individuals with back and neck injuries.

In her spare time away from the clinic, she is an accomplished triathlete. Elizabeth has represented Canada on the national triathlon team, earning bronze (1995), silver (1996), and gold (2004) medals at the ITU World Triathlon Championships. She is a six-time Ironman finisher including the World Championships in Kona, Hawaii. Elizabeth was inducted into the Fredericton Sports Wall of Fame in 2007.
